Why #streamforwells?

Besides the amazing pun-tential (streams are made of water, get it?), live streaming multiple times per day, for a long period of time, seems like a good way to raise awareness to an important cause. Streaming allows for me to engage with my friends and family in real time, and share my passion for this very real need.

Do you work for charity: water?

I do not work for charity: water.  I am just a guy hoping to raise some awareness and money for the global water crisis.

Can I submit donations directly to you?

I will not accept any donations made directly to me. I am not equipped to transfer the money to charity: water, nor do I want to. There are a number of ways you can donate or support the cause without handing me money personally.

What happens if you drink something and forget to stream it?

I will tell you that I messed up. I anticipate that this will happen at least one time over the course of thirty days, possibly more. I will try my best to never miss, but I am human, and drinking water is something I almost never think about.

Why clean water?

Access to clean water is a solvable problem. Solving the water crisis is potentially one of the greatest net positive impacts for humanity as a whole. I will be answering this question more in depth through my live streams and daily blog recaps.

I don't have any money to give, how can I help?

The #streamforwells challenge is designed to let anyone participate by helping to raise awareness for this global issue.  You can help out by sharing, liking, and commenting on my streams. You can start your own #streamforwellschallenge and stream yourself drinking water through facebook live or another platform, challenging your friends and family to stream as well.  Finally, you can start your own campaign, or join my campaign, to raise money for the charity: water.

Why did pick charity: water as the organization to support?

Charity: water gives 100% of every dollar donated directly to a clean water project. The operating costs for charity: water, for things like staffing costs and rent, are fund raised separately, so that every dollar you donate is directly connected to a project.  There are other reasons I will address more in depth in my morning live streams.

What time(s) will you be streaming?

I intend to do a longer 15 to 45 minute livestream in the morning, to consume my caffeine and share knowledge and stories during that time. These morning streams will typically take place between 6am and 8am PST, depending on my work schedule. Throughout the day I will have several shorter streams that will be used to quickly chug water or another beverage, and plug #streamforwells.  In the evenings, as I work on my daily recaps and plan for the next day. I may stream as I sip water or tea, and work.
