I've been challenged to complete a #StreamForWellsChallenge, now what?
Welcome to the challenge! If you are here, you have either accepted the challenge, or are considering accepting the challenge. There are only a few things you need to know.
1. Use the hashtag '#streamforwellschallenge' and the link 'streamforwells.com' in every livestream description
Before starting a livestream on Facebook, you have the opportunity to enter a description. By entering the hashtag #streamforwellschallenge, and the link streamforwells.com you are associating yourself with this challenge, and people viewing your stream can find the resources to donate. Alternatively, you can send people directly to charity: water's website.
2. Stream every time you drink anything for the committed length of time
This is the easy part! Before you drink anything, hop online, follow step one, and drink away! If you want to learn some additional facts about the global water crisis to share while you are live-streaming, it will help move others to follow your challenge, donate, and hopefully start the challenge themselves!
3. During your challenge, or at the end, you need to challenge at least 3 new people to complete the challenge.
This final step is critical to the movement and impact that the #StreamForWellsChallenge can have. By getting more people to continue the challenge, we can continue the impact. Send the recipients of your challenge to this page, streamforwells.com/start, so that they have their own instructions for being successful.
Extra Credit Ideas
- Start your own campaign: You can fundraise independently and track the progress of donations to your campaign, and the impact you and your community are having on the global water crisis
- Promote the book Thirst: The book costs $17.70 on Amazon, and by purchasing the book, a $30 donation to charity: water is 'unlocked'
- Extend your challenge beyond 24 hours: Every time you stream, you could potentially be reaching new people. The global water crisis will not be solved in 24 hours, we hope you will continue to educate others and promote efforts to fix this solvable problem.
